Well unfortunately until recently stories like these were all too common, however the plain truth is that all of the problems mentioned above were actually fuelled by one thing and one thing alone.....The Spanish “Off Plan Property” investment boom. So you’ll be pleased to know that at Quicksell we absolutely and categorically do not sell “Off Plan Investment” property. On a more positive note, the national and local government have now really got their act together in the Spanish real estate sector, passing new legislation which in theory now makes the Costa del Sol probably one of the safest places to buy a property in Europe. Put simply Spain is still a great place to buy, live and holiday and as a result of it’s stunning weather, relaxed culture and popularity it will always remain in great demand, but this doesn’t change the fact that buying property in Spain is still Fraught With Disaster if you choose the wrong company to do business with. |
